Note
Short Abstract: "Activated" tRNA, more precisely termed aminoacyl-tRNA, is the functional form generated when an amino acid is covalently attached to its cognate tRNA by aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases (using ATP). This activation step (aminoacylation) is essential for accurate protein synthesis during translation. The aminoacyl-tRNA delivers the correct amino acid to the ribosome's A-site, guided by mRNA codon-anticodon pairing, ensuring faithful incorporation into the growing polypeptide chain according to the genetic code. Without this activation, ribosomal translation would lack specificity and fidelity.
